Tina(Haley Reed) thought she had the house to herself, so she was testing out her new smart-home gadget in the living room, experimenting with its settings and buttons when, unexpectedly, her stepmom Carrie(Ophelia Kaan) arrived. Panicked, Tina ducked behind the couch, hoping to stay out of sight, but had left the remote in plain view. Curious, Carrie picked it up, mistaking it for a smart-home controller, and began pressing buttons, causing a series of bizarre, unexpected noises and movements that made Tina flail and groan in embarrassment. Carrie, completely oblivious, tried to figure out the “features” of her new device, offering helpful suggestions and commentary, while Tina desperately attempted to stay hidden. Eventually, Tina couldn’t contain her laughter and embarrassment any longer, revealing herself to Carrie, who burst out laughing as the two of them realized the ridiculous misunderstanding and spent the next few minutes untangling the chaos of the smart-home mishap together.
