Early in the morning, Jade Kimiko burst into her brother Juan’s room, full of energy. She was already dressed in a colorful bikini and wanted nothing more than for him to take her to the beach. But Juan, still tired, refused. Disappointed, Jade pouted and left the room. A little while later, Jade reappeared in a new bikini, determined to try again. This time, she asked more sweetly and with playful persistence. After some back-and-forth, Juan finally agreed. They both got ready and set off for the beach together. Under the warm sun, they spent the day laughing, swimming, and enjoying the waves. Juan realized that Jade’s stubbornness was really just her way of showing how much she wanted to share the day with him. By the time they returned home, both were grateful for the time they had spent together.
